- robin newsham Added March 05, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Three weeks ago I had an ankle fusion performed by a wonderful orthopaedic surgeon at Brisbane Private Hospital. Unfortunately the 3 days stay in hospital was not wonderful. The air conditioning was extremely cold, the food was awful and the nursing staff were average.The day of discharge a female nurse asked a male nurse to wheel me down to the entrance but he ignored her request. She took me to the entrance and left me there on my own saying she needed to return to the ward. When my wife drove in to the entrance she had to be assisted by the volunteer elderly gentleman to get me into our car. I would never voluntarily return to this hospital again.
